The producers of Villamaria have gone all-in to support coffee producers who lost everything in the Rwandan landslides. Through sourcing the amazing Villamaria microlot, over $3,000 has been directly contributed to the Nyabihu Relief fund.
Villamaria is a processing station representing around 30 coffee producers located in the surrounding areas of Jamaica, Caldas. Traditionally, Colombian producers process and dry their own individual coffee lots and sell as parchment. However, at Villamaria coffees are purchased direct from the producers then dried and processed on site. This method leads to increased quality and consistency.
You may have noticed that we have stopped labelling some coffees as “Filter Roast Profile”. We felt that our previous labelling of microlots did not do justice to our coffees and what we think they are capable of. We want you to feel free to use the coffee any way you like. Read more here.
