Las Mercedes has been in the Guerra family since 1960 when Eduardo Guerra Sanchez purchased the farm farm. Las Mercedes was originally a dairy farm however Don Eduardo's background was in coffee farming and decided to turn some small parcels f land to coffee production while still primarily producing milk. When Don Eduardo's son, Alfonso Guerra Velez took over the farm 20 years later. Las Mercedes manager, the young Juan Carios, is a truly progressive coffee producer; he has set up a cupping lab on his farm and is also a qualified Q grader, which is a rarity as a lot of producers never even have a chance to taste their own coffee.

The Banko Gotiti Cooperative in the southern district of Gedeb, Ethiopia is a member of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Union. This is a classic example of a naturally processed Ethiopian, full of juicy summer fruits and creamy milk chocolate.

Finca La Loma was purchased from Alfonso Guerra Velez in 2005 making it the newest farm for the family, however the farm has been producing coffee for over 50 years. La Loma is the smallest farm that the Guerra's own with only 20 hectares of coffee trees planted. This allows them to focus on producing unique coffee's and experimental processing techniques. Don Alfonso's son, Juan Carlos manages the specialty coffee program for their farms and is truly progressive coffee producer; he has set up a cupping lab on his farm and is also a qualified Q grader.
