The World Barista Championships are over for another year which saw Australian candidate Craig Simon of Think Tank Coffee reveal a new coffee processing innovation to the coffee world, perform his best ever with the best coffee he’s ever tasted, to take out a very respectable 4th place.

Craig Simon has been competing in the Australian Specialty Coffee Association’s barista championships, the most recognised in the industry, since 2008.

Here is the clip of Think Tank Coffee’s Craig Simon performing his routine in the finals of the 2014 Australian Barista Championship, at MICE (Melbourne International Coffee Expo) over the weekend.

Jade first ventured into coffee back in 2005. Starting as a part time barista, her love for coffee flourished and she continues to enjoy learning about every aspect of the industry.

Congratulations to Jen Marks, our popular and much-loved barista and roaster at Veneziano Coffee Roasters, on her World Latte Art Championship performance in Nice, France in June 2013.

Jen Marks, Australian Latte Art Champion 2013 and one of Melbourne’s favourite baristas, will pour up some Chemex filter brews in the morning and appear behind the espresso machine in the afternoon MICE visitors may be lucky enough to see some of her beautiful latte art creations, on Thursday May 23 on Veneziano’s stand.

SCAA-accredited Coffee Logic International have engaged Craig to run their internationally recognised courses in Melbourne on October 5 and 6 at the First Pour Abbotsford.
