About the Pretend Run Club

Pretend Run Club was born in Paris back in 2022, created by Celina who many you might remember from her first chapter with us at the Veneziano Richmond cafe, and her business partner, Emma. What started as a cheeky way to 'pretend' their way through running (and life in Paris) quickly grew into a community of hundreds.

When Celina and Emma returned to Melbourne in 2024, Celina rejoined the Veneziano crew for round two, and the pair brought the Pretend Run Club home with them.

Pretend Run Club is about owning the fact that we're all just pretending our way through life. Pretending to be runners, pretending to fit in, and still show up anyway. It's a space where everyone belongs exactly as they are.
