Our first 2026 Panama crop

Coming from Finca Lerida in Boquete, Panama. This year we visited them in April and selected a few lots of Gesha.

Finca Lérida is one of Panama's oldest and most historic coffee estates, located in the highlands of Boquete on the slopes of Volcán Barú. The farm was established in the 1920s by Norwegian engineer Toleff Bache Mönniche after his work on the Panama Canal. In 1929, the estate exported Panama's first recorded shipment of coffee to Germany, helping introduce Panamanian coffee to the international market.

Today, Finca Lérida consists of several farms between roughly 1,500 and 2,000 metres above sea level, surrounded by cloud forest and volcanic soils. The estate produces varieties including Gesha, Pacamara, Catuai and Typica, and is known for both traditional washed coffees and experimental processing methods.

Why is it special?

This coffee stood out on the cupping table — clean and elegant with high clarity. Red fruits, stonefruit and florals shine in the cup, really reflecting the varietal and terroir of Panamanian coffee.
