What makes this release truly special is its terroir. Grown in the volcanic highlands under Volcán Barú's shadow, this Gesha benefits from the unique microclimate that has made Panama synonymous with world-class specialty coffee. The mineral-rich volcanic soils, combined with the farm's optimal elevation, create growing conditions that allow the Gesha variety to express its most complex and nuanced characteristics. The Art of Washed Processing
While our first 2025 release showcased the fruit-forward intensity of natural processing, this new release from Janson Estate lot demonstrates the elegant clarity that defines exceptional washed Gesha. The careful fermentation and washing process highlights the coffee's inherent sweetness while allowing the volcanic terroir to shine through, creating a cup that's both vibrant and refined.
The result? A coffee that bursts with tropical fruit notes. Think ripe mango and sweet cantaloupe – balanced by the bright, aromatic intensity of passionfruit. This is truly is one of Panama's finest washed geshas.
