Where To Recycle Your Coffee Bags

Where To Recycle Your Coffee Bags

You've brewed the last cup, rolled down the bag and scraped out the final grounds. Now what?

If it's a Veneziano coffee bag, the answer is simple: recycle it. Our bags are made from soft plastic, which means they can be given a second life through Australia's soft plastic recycling network — the key is just knowing where to take them.

How To Tell If Your Bag Is Recyclable

The easiest way to check is by looking for the Australian Recycling Logo (ARL) on the back of your bag. The ARL tells you exactly how a piece of packaging should be disposed of, and confirms that your empty Veneziano bag belongs in the soft plastic stream.

It's a small symbol, but it takes the guesswork out entirely.

Where To Take It

Soft plastic can't go in your regular kerbside recycling bin — unlike cardboard or cans, it needs a dedicated drop-off point. The good news is that around 70% of Australians now have access to one.

The easiest way to find yours is through RecycleMate. Just enter your address and search "Veneziano Coffee Roasters" to find your nearest participating location.

Small Steps, Big Difference

Sustainability isn't about being perfect. It's about making better choices where we can. Recycling your coffee bag correctly helps keep valuable materials in circulation and out of landfill. It's one small action, repeated every time you finish a bag, that adds up over time.

This post is part of our Sustainability Series, where we share practical ways to brew your everyday with a little less waste.
