About Costa Rica Llamaron
Finca El Llamaron sits within the Don Sabino Micromill network in Costa Rica, a producer known for meticulous processing and a willingness to work with uncommon varietals. This lot features SL-28, a cultivar with Kenyan origins that has found a compelling home in Costa Rican terroir, bringing a distinctive complexity rarely seen from this origin.
Processed as a natural, the coffee is dried whole cherry, allowing the fruit to impart sweetness and depth directly into the bean. The result is a cup that leans into richness and fruit-forward character with notes of passionfruit, orange marmalade and stewed persimmon.
