Congratulations to David Makin who WON the title of Australian Barista of the Year!!
Competing in Sydney on the 23rd April, David is the FIRST Victorian to win the Australian title.
He will now go on to represent Australia and Veneziano at the World Barista Championships in Berne, Switzerland in May.
David earned the right to pit his skills against Australia’s best baristas when he won the Victorian Barista of the Year competition (for the THIRD time in a row!)
David’s presentation ran smoothly, without a broken glass in sight: unlike at the Victorian competition where he managed to smash two of his presentation glasses within the first 30 seconds of his performance.
