Meet Lachie, our Victorian Coffee Specialist and resident coffee nerd (his words). Based in Richmond, he heads up the training department and makes sure our cafes are always dialled in and dishing out top-notch brews. We sat down with Lachie to learn more about his role, his coffee obsessions, and what makes Veneziano tick.
Behind the Training Program
Hey Lachie, tell us your role in the Veneziano crew.
"I run the training program here in Richmond and focus on quality across our cafés. So I basically teach people how to make the ultimate cup of joe."
Starting the Day Right
What's your morning go-to brew?
"Every day starts with a full bar tasting of one of everything we make, to make sure we're on point. But if I had to choose? Espresso, hands down."
This Month's Pick: Finca El Llamarón
What's your Veneziano pick this month?
"We've got a doozy natural from Costa Rica, Finca El Llamarón, a single-origin that tastes unreal. Costa Rica is up there for me as one of my favourite origins.
I've also been sipping on some upcoming Pinnacle releases. Can't say too much yet, but you'll want to keep an eye out."

Any fun facts we should know about you?
"I'm currently going down the rabbit hole of making pizza and pasta from scratch at home. Hopefully I don't get as obsessed as I did with coffee, there's only so much time in the day."
